Sunny Steps

Sunny Steps has clearly taken its inspiration from the Aztec Pyramids in Mexico.

The Aztec clock can also be seen in Sunny Steps.

Stone head statue

The stone head statues are actually from Easter Island where there are certainly more than one.

Many have speculated the origins or purpose of these heads, but the debate still remains.

Desert location

The colors and the shape of the mounds resembles Utah in the US.

This map, excluding the town and road, looks similar to something you’d see in an old western film.

Loot lake

Loot lake isn’t one that many would recognise as a real life location unless they had a travel background.

Loot lake looks very much like Bled in Slovenia with the seperate middle island as its focal point.

Mystic islands

Okay not strictly a real life location, but it’s hard to deny that Mystic Mountains wasn’t created off the back of the movie Avatar that had a scene just like this one.

Once loot lake was altered it took on a much different appearance.

Looking more like this location in canada with various islands.

It’s hard to deny that the volcanoes don’t look pretty similar, especially lower down as we see the vegetation and similar structure at the base of the volcano.
