Orthotropics has rippled through society quietly with split opinions. Some have claimed pseudo science, and others have jumped on the trend trying to achieve a better looking face.

Orthotropics has performed very well among the male community, notably due to the promises of increasing jaw size and prominence.

In order to fulfil our communities needs and curiosity, we visited Orthotropics 2nd generation creator Mike Mew, and asked the questions we all had.

Following on from this interview, I decided to breakdown the ins and outs in a more basic format. Why? Because Mike Mew is a genius and for the average person it’s hard to follow what he’s saying if you don’t already know a lot about orthotropics.

How to Become a Better Looking Man

Lets breakdown what all of this means.

Maxilla Bone

The maxilla bone sits at the centre of your face, takes up a vast majority of your face and connects to all other main movers within the face.

The importance of this bone when it comes to facial beauty is unmatched. The more upwards and forwards this bone sits, the better looking the person is perceived.

Due to poor daily habits such as looking at our phones or slouching, the average person’s maxilla bone has dropped backwards and down causing the entire face to droop, including the cheekbones which are a real difference maker.

Jaw Usage

The average modern person consumes a lot of calories without having to do much chewing. With soft, easy access foods, we’re not forced to use our jaw muscles like we once previously were.

This has led to weak jaw muscles and naturally an open mouth posture. While we relax, sleep, etc our mouths are falling open and our tongues are falling from the roof of our mouth/the palate.

Oral Posture

The part that ties all of this together is oral posture. If your jaw falls open, then it’s impossible for your tongue to be on the roof of your mouth keeping and driving your maxilla bone upwards and forwards.

Consistently good oral posture equates to good habits and improved bone structure.
