The big fashion shows of old have traditionally been for an older crowd. Mainly because they have the money to buy the products on display.

If you looked at the front row of any fashion show 5 years ago, you’d struggle to see a youthful face.

However due to a shift in how the modern world works, fashion shows are beginning to appeal to a younger audience.

The modern era allows people as young as 14 to make millions from their parents house. This has created a world where there are plenty of successful young people with expendable income and the fashions shows are beginning to change to match this new scene.

Just look at the latest Louis Vuitton fashion show. It was set in a less formal layout with people sitting on the surrounding stage rather than in a historic venue with chairs aligned perfectly in a formal manner. The show also included a new song by artist Drake which is something they wouldn’t have done before because it didn’t match their image.

Two men who are driving this forward are Olivier Rousteing and Philipp Plein.

Both men have taken their fashion shows down completely different routes and used influencers as a clever way to reach a more youthful audience.

Olivier works closely with the Kardashians, Jenners and Hadid’s, while Philipp has acquired the help of Floyd Mayweather, Desiigner and Fetty Wap.

The latest Phillipp Plein show was at an expensive modern home, with the models walking in a more casual manner around the estate surrounded by a pool and cabana style setting.

The world of high end fashion is changing due to the shift in financial distribution. With so much money focused on tech, it’s the young people making the big bucks, and fashion is slowly adapting to this trend.

Just take a look at the Phillip Plein fashion show below to see the change for yourself.
